"Catherine, I write this review with a warm and hopeful heart. Being a christian we have always embraced the fact that Jesus is Jewish Every good friday my church holds a seder dinner in celebration of the last supper knowing all well, that it was in fact a seder where meat was eaten, which was in complete conflict with my early years of Catholic school attendance. However our church was blessed with many "Jews for Jesus" never letting go of the knowledge that they were and always will be His chosen Children(My Belief,my church teachings) that being said this book in my estimation was written for a purpose and I don't believe God would have had you endure such a labor over the course of years not to bare fruit, however our timeline and Gods are usually of different time zones, so when it will be recognized I can't say but with a joyful heart I know IT WILL BE .
I know many people who were brought up with Bibles in their homes yet never had the desire to open it up. What I think this book does though fiction,is ignites curiosity to those who have not read it, and for those of us who find it to be the most facinating books ever written; it brings us delight.
The fictional character Jerar was so vital in the plight for getting that message of struggle out there and you did it wonderfully.. At first we thought him to be a bully until you skillfully allowed us a peek at the inner turmoil and conflict in which both boys struggled. Much like ourselves, who struggle with what we have been raised to believe, is for the goodness of Society, and Yet, The "I" part of us as individuals has the exact opposite opinion. It is a natural conflict we all have...which comes first in our lives The "I" part of we or the "we" as in us? Very tough question to answer.
I think this is the perfect blend of fiction based on what some of us believe to be true..I only wish I had more of it to read, but I can assure you your' efforts were not in vain. Well written ,great pace and the narrator has full control over how we feel and when to feel it.." Patricia

"When one thinks of it, (and apart from you, Catherine, very few people have) these bible tales are extraordinary stories. Unlike the Greek or Hindu myths, they're mostly about ordinary people. It's amazing that they haven't been presented in this way before. It was brilliant of you to think of it, and brilliant the way you've achieved something so fascinating." Lynn

"This is an easy to read book. Writing style is clear and the idea of updating Bible stories to the present day is a clever one. I'm sure it will have a wide readership." Burgio

"An engaging read that deserves success. The descriptions and characters bring this book alive and all the hard work and research gone into this books deserves massive praise. I hope you and your husband are proud of what you have achieved." Lisa

"You have captured the characters beautifully. Your descriptions of characters and scenes allows the story to become visible to the reader. Rebecca comes across as indeed being a biblical and romantic character as Lichel is captivating. Isaac appears as a handsome young man and the love story is absorbing. I obviously cannot talk of techniques and developing plots as the story is there already. So well done with this thought provoking writing. .
I appreciate the footnotes, which tells of hard work and dedication to the unfolding stories. A great work, obviously written with love and devotion." Katy

"Your MS is polished, it's fictionalized but it resonates the bell of universal truth inside my heart. There are many "Christian" MS's on this site, but many of them preach uninspired ideals and opinions to the reader and therefore are annoying to read. You very deftly and imaginatively created a view of the life and times that people can enjoy and relate to. Most excellent work! The story is well crafted, with consistent command of the language and no short comings that distract the reader from reading with the flow." Dawn
