In March 2005, a life-changing turn of events brought Catherine J. Craig's busy life as an entrepreneur to a standstill. Unable to return to work due to unexpected health issues, Catherine capitalized on her unforeseen downtime to begin writing the book she'd dreamed of writing.

Originally from Upstate New York, Catherine first planted both feet on Alaskan soil in 1990 to pursue a vision. Though that dream failed, it wasn't the first time she stepped out in faith to follow a dream. Though Catherine takes satisfaction in her past endeavors, she tends to downplay them when comparing the past with the present. The spiritual journey the years since 2005 have taken her on far surpass any earlier experiences. Though she had long considered herself to be a Christian, Catherine feels that the personal intimate relationship she has developed with God since then has been light years beyond anything she'd ever known. She also became convinced that anyone else, who is seeking to know the one true God through His Son Jesus Christ, could find what she had discovered.

Much of Catherine's passion for life and her unstoppable faith is reflected in her writing. "The Golden Thread" is a rich revelation not only of Jewish history, but also of a broad spectrum of her personal convictions and intuitive beliefs about life, faith, and God. Anyone reading the well-thought-out text of this historical novel will be hard-pressed not to be caught up into each character's struggles to find answers, to make sense of their lives.
